Mais uma árvore que permanece...

Deixo hoje aqui duas fotografias, tiradas em Maio de 2010, algures no pequeno lugar do Cadaval (situado na Freguesia da Tocha e Concelho de Cantanhede). O objecto fotografado é uma simples e ínfima árvore! Mas porquê uma árvore? Que tem ela de significativo ou especial?

Esta árvore tem a particularidade de estar viva e existir. Isto porque durante a construção do muro exterior ao quintal da casa visível em segundo plano, alguém preferiu deixar um intervalo no muro para permitir a permanência da árvore, ao invés de cortá-la. E assim, mais uma árvore permanece viva neste mundo!

One more tree remains alive...

Today i present two photographs taken in May of 2010, of one tree, somewhere in the hamlet (tiny village) of Cadaval (located in the civil parish of Tocha and Municipality of Cantanhede).
The special feature of this tree, is that it still remains alive and in existence! During the construction of the outside walls of the backyard of this house (in the background), someone decided to let a gap on the wall, to keep the tree there! So, one more tree remains alive in this world.

Coincidência ou Escárnio?

Na última semana de Setembro de 2009, fotografei este cadeirão abandonado, junto a uma tabuleta de aviso da Câmara Municipal de Cantanhede, a qual interditava a deposição de lixo. A fotografia foi tirada na berma do estradão de saibro que liga os Inácios à Lagoa dos Teixoeiros (Lagoa da Mata), junto ao cruzamento com o caminho com destino para as Berlengas, na Freguesia de Tocha (Concelho de Cantanhede). A tabuleta encontra-se visivelmente vandalizada e adulterada, tendo a palavra COIMA sido substituída por um conhecido palavrão do calão português. Conjunto de coincidências ou algum desconhecido a escarnecer das autoridades?

Coincidence or mocking the authorities?

I present here a photo that i took during the last week of September of 2009, on the side of an unpaved gravel road, near Tocha (municipality of Cantanhede and district of Coimbra). Someone left an damaged armchair, near a signboard belonging to the city hall of Cantanhede; who forbids citizens from putting garbage here, including furniture. This signboard was been vandalized, which included the change of the word "COIMA" (who means a Fine, in portuguese), for COnA! "Cona" is a bad word in portuguese slang, who means vagina. Lots of people speaks this word, everyday, but you will not find it in a portuguese dictionary.

So, the question remains: - Was it coincidence, or someone mocking the Authorities?
