The vast coastline of the region of Gândara, mainly formed by long stretches of desert beaches, is often the final resting place of large marine animals, who died from natural causes or victims of human action (propellers, fishing nets, pollution ...). Is common to find here the remains of dolphins, turtles and even whales (you can see examples here (click), or here (click)).
Today i present some photographs of the remains of a dolphin, with approximately 6-7 feet long. The photos were taken in an area of desert coast, located approximately 1.5 miles north of Praia da Tocha (Tocha Beach), in the Civil Parish of Tocha and Municipality of Cantanhede, during a morning hike in November of 2013.
